Red Painte-Decorated Armoire Dated 1845

This armoire from Egerland, Germany, dated 1845, has its original paint and graceful unpolished brass hardware. It is decorated with urns of flowers and nosegays on the doors, and with painted columns on the door frame. The single drawer has a simple painted swag.
