Swedish Armoire with Scenery

Very special, untouched paint-decorated Swedish armoire, circa 1820. The four raised front panels depict the master with his favorite animals, a goat and a trusted dog, and his manor house. The top panels illustrate a stylized formal vase and a wooden garden container that were very likely found in and around the manor. The interior of the armoire has one original shelf. The simple shape and wonderful paint-decoration on this armoire contributes to its simple elegance.
