Pair of Carved Armchairs

Pair of armchairs in the Gustavian style, Sweden circa 1890, with carved detail. The square back has open rings under a pierced medallion and laurel swag. Additional carving is centered on the front rail. Graceful curved arms sweep from back to front legs. Newly upholstered in heavy muslin with double welt.
