Pair of Gustavian Centennial Armchairs

Pair of square-backed armchairs in the Gustavian style, Sweden circa 1880. Foliate crest on the back and egg and dart carving on the front rail. Tapering round front legs. Later paint in Gustavian gray and celadon. Newly covered in heavy muslin.
